Any useful recipes so far?
So, do you guys use transmuting? Did you experiment to find new recipes? The only one I've found that wasn't in the list is 2 different uniques = 1 new unique, which isn't very helpful, in my opinion.

I need formula for rejuvenation potion, mixing mana and health potion is not an answer;/

Well if you are a caster, two melee weapons aren't really useful :)

3 gems of the same grade = a new of a higher grade ... but it seems to be completely random as to what you get. Not sure if adding specific gems in the receipe means anything at all.

2 Spells to get 1 new spell. 2 Set items to get 1 new set item (which sets don't matter, and the result seems to be random.)

2 ember peices higher than the level of your weapon + 1 weapon = one socket in that weapon

Yeah, that's what I meant to say in the OP. 2 sets, not uniques, sorry about that.

4 legendery items = ?.
I'd like to see who has the balls to try this :)

You get another random legendary back. Nothing special.

bump. useful thread. 3 gems of same kind = chaos, health or void. the gems level seems to be dictated by the lowest gem added.

Sidenote on 4x unique rare items: 3x lvl 24 + 1x lvl 16 ----->> gets you a lvl 16 random rare item.

I'd like to counter the gem transmuting. I tried 2x 64 and 1x 50 gems to test this out. Got a 64 back. I believe it's chance based on all 3 gem levels, so 2/3 chance for 64 and 1/3 chance for 50.

I haven't tried with Uniques yet, but I'm under the impression it's the same.

Random utility gem of the *same* grade.

It looks like this thread, sadly, has most of the ones we already know about. 2 spells makes a new spell, a weapon plus 2 gems of higher level gives that weapon a socket (or two!), 4 uniques = 1 unique, 4 legendaries = 1 legendary, 4 fish = 1 respec potion (that one's a lie), etc.

Armor can also be socketed by combining it with two gems of equal or higher level. Note, this only works with unsocketed items. That means you can't put a second socket on an item this way because you're trying to combine using an item that already has a socket and thus is not "1 x Unsocketed item."

I just combined a level 53 mace with two level 64 gems and I got TWO sockets. I've already quit and restarted the game to try to force out any glitch but both sockets are still there. I guess a possibility of this happening is built into the game, but it must be small. (Or, it may be a one-off but permanent glitch ... )

I play a shield-bash and AoE engineer. Any suggestions on what to put in the sockets?

EDIT: I just got two sockets again. Is this a regular feature or am I just crazy lucky?
