Torchlight 2 making internet go down
After playing online for 20 minutes or so, my whole internet goes down until I close my Torchlight 2 game. This happens every single time I play online. Is there any way to fix this? Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I'm using a D-Link DIR-628, I have AVG that I just installed, I recently scanned and it said i have no viruses. The disconnect seems to happen after around 20 minutes and a few seconds (sometimes minutes) after I go through a loading screen.

Edit 2: Since the new update came out, I haven't had this problem.

same happens to me
I tried forwarding my ports:
TCP: 4549

UDP: 4175, 4179, 4171

EDIT: It stopped it for a while but then I had the problem again. It seems to be caused after I go through loading screens.

I don't know too much about the subject, but this really sounds like a Firewall thing. Something in your computer doesn't like Torchlight 2 accessing the internet, so it blocks it completely. You might want to try looking at your firewall permissions to make sure it knows to trust Torchlight 2.

Again, I don't know much about the subject, just thought I'd try to be helpful. (=

Normally I would say maybe but I run without any of that crap including windows firewall and this randomly started happening last night to me as well. Odd thing was I played for hours and hours with no issues before that.

It also wasn't crashing my pcs connection or my router but crashing the whole connection to the house for x min.

It's almost certainly your router/router config. Try running hardwire straight from your modem and see if it still happens

Would be useful if you guys started listing some specs, like router/network configuration, just saying "me too" doesn't really help people solve the issue.

What anti-virus do you run,
Have you done a scan recently
When does the drop occur the most (during intense fights, loading, talking to something, late at night)
