How do i find my CD key to join online?

you link it with your steam account, says that on the site where you have to link it from.

yeah i followed the intstructions to 'link with steam account' and it still asks for a cd key?

it doesnt. it should have 2 check boxes for linking friends and what not. then steam will say ur logging in form another computer so you check your email and type in the 5-6 letter/number code. and hit enter. Thats it. The steam version of the game doesnt have a cd key.

probably still something wrong, hopefully they will get it fixed. Your single player character can be used online as well, so just play offline for the time being.

That Steam account is already linked to another account.

You need to log into ur Runic Games Acc, there should be something like a "Register Torchlight II" button/link, after that 2 other buttons appear: They say something like "Register Torchlight II for internet play" and "Buy/get Torchlight now", You click on the "register TL...." after that theres going to be like 2 boxes one is to use ur CD-Key(if u bought it from Steam u dont have one) and another one that says "Link My Steam Acc" u click on that and just relax its going to take awhile cuz the tons of people trying to do the same stuff.. It took me around 3 hours to get it done and at 12-3am so if u do it at midday or something like that its going to take a little bit more i guess.
Also dont worry if u click the button and an error 404 appear just keep trying until u get it done, GLHF! :)

This is for Runic to know which account they are linking to in steam. When you are in game and it asks for a user, and password, just enter in the Runic account and if should work assuming you did things right when linking the account.

listen. When you are in the game and you are at the login screen, you go to manage account or w/e the hell it says i dont remember, it takes you to the website. its not that hard. There are 2 HUGE boxes, 1 is for when you bought the one with the cd key, the other is when you bught it off steam. You bought it off steam since youre here, so you clock on the giant steam button.

Then you click next, then you do what it says again regarding typing in a code sent via email, then you click enter. After that it says linking complete.

Then you use your runic account info that you literally just made on the runic site to log in.

if the site is giving you problems not letting you link, thats because there are a sh1t load of ppl trying to do the same exact thing at the same time. Just give it a few min and try again.
