Edit: There is a mod that will allow for 8. I've never used it so idk how well it works

Max numbers of players in one room is 6. Runic Games officially made a mod that allowed 8 players. There is also that player made mod that allowed 25 players.

25!? dang. and i thought 8 was big, let alone 6 for a co-op game. every co-op game i've seen is usually capped at 4 max. 6 was good to hear, mod for 8 by Runic sounds like a great move by the dev to me. hats off to them. and whoever made 25, omg..you have a vision. mini-mmo?
