Same, diablo 3 was a big disappointment.

yep this is the only reason i'm still playing Diablo 3: Auction House
OH HEY, I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY TL2 NOW!
*buys*
It's a matter of preference. I would personally say that the stat distribution and skill trees are the *worst* thing about Torchlight, and that the skill system is the one thing that Diablo 3 definitely did right. I played Diablo 2 a lot when it was released and I enjoyed leveling up new characters to try new builds, but that was thirteen years ago. I'm thirteen years older now, and I don't have time to spend that many hours just to try something new only to find out that I didn't like it. It just feels like an artificial time sink and an outdated system.
You sound like you haven't played this game at all, either. Just around 21 hours, you played. I don't think you know this game. Please do not mention about this and that. The stat distrituition is still the same though but the skill tree gets changed. And It's Torchlight II, not Diablo III.
My family played Diablo III more than thousand times together. Each time, it gets patched, it gets worse and worse.
- TL2 was made with ease; I mean no "hype train with no brakes".
- It's cheaper (price).
- Loot is way more rewarding. 1 year put in D3 i still can't find a single green (set) item, when in TL2 you can acquire them simply from quest rewards.
- Quests is rewarding!
- Day/night cycle.
- LAN support.
- No internet required for single player.
- Mod support.
- PvP @ the launch.
- Pet system is way greater than follower. At least, they don't talk, you know.
- Better story.
- You can make more custom character build, like ultra tanky tank.
- Loads of Sockets/Enchanting/Transmutation vs boring crafting/jeweling.
- Great atmosphere, especially music wise.
Can't point more pros at the moment...
The game is nothing like D3. In D3 you have no skill tree, No skill points, you can’t create your avatar however you like, you can’t use or wear whatever you want and the map layout is always the same. All of the things you can’t do in D3 you can do in T2. So I don’t think you know what you are talking about.
Relax Francis.
