how to add torchlight 2 to steam

I got Torchlight 2 from Runic and i would like to know if i can add it to my steam account? And if i can how can i add it?

do you have a cd key/product code? try redeeming that on steam.
if you dont, try asking the devs for one, i guess it wont hurt

Not true, I have like 10 games not purchased from steam. under games you can add any game to steam. example dungeon siege. the orginal stronghold, elemental war of magic, demigod. somewhere there is a guide on how to do it. mybe under common isssue. under games add non steam games, or purchased games

if he has a runic account and a steam account he can link it in from runic to steam, and you can add an game to steam, under the game tab upper left, add non steam games.

Look this not hard,,, he has a steam account, he said he did (read), He bought from runic online, which means he now has a runic account. So he has both full benifits. he can go to runic account and link to steam account. or add to steam as i said.. his code is on his email comfirmation from his runic purchase.. if he needs it. I did not, when I did a friends, and it plays just fine.

yes it will I have done it the easy way is https/secure.runicgames.com/ select your game link to steam. he has a steam account and a runic account. So he will get full access. I play on both sites and steam picks up everything i do for badges. my friend and i play all the time on both with other steam and or runic players.. mybe a mute point he either gave up or figured it out on his own. good luck to him..

i have a steam account and ill like to add the game to it.(to install and uninstall it like all my games on steam) i linked it to staem the day i got it but that didnt do what i expected.
i would like to be able to install mods from steam, its much easier that way.

i found my game key but it wont add it. i think i had to buy it in steam for it to work the way i wanted.

thnx guys for all the usefull info but i may have to re buy the game (in steam) to be able to do what i want.

torchlight 2 is included in the game that unlock in steam. the problem is that steam only accepts this format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX and the one that i got for my game is
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX so it wont unlock.

yes i agree but the good thing is ill have an extra copy of the game for the wife to join me.
