AKA im talking about trying to load a town like the enclave on GUTS editor
1. create a new GUTS project
2. go to the Layout tab on th bottom left, then pick File > Open
3. Next, for that first newbie city in ACT 1, the layout , is normally located at C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Torchlight II\MEDIA\LAYOUTS\ACT1_TOWN\1X1SINGLE_ROOM_A , so load that in
4. Give it a second to load it in and then you can edit it
5. Be sure to save a copy or clone - always use a clone of the original files or the game may crash
6. When you make changes to the layout, you can then load it up in game to try out, as a clone - so your other characters can still play the vanilla version
7. So you will end up with your own mod with a clone of the city and its changes you can then load and test in game later, and it will not affect the normal game, as a clone and seperate mod
p.s. PAK = when GUTS starts up it will ask the user to extract the PAK files, and note whenever TL2 has a real update, you will want to unpack again to have access to the current media. the pak files contain all the game elements in a compressed format, and it may take 10 to 25 min. to unpack it + hard drive space.
also how do i add a item? and how do i change a NPC into a Pet
