GUTS tutorials
Hello fellow TL2 players & mod developers! I just started on GUTS and I feel lost, I would love it if there are tutorials out there that I can follow as a newbie, my aim is to create a new class with new spells and talent tree...etc

So... What are my limits? how far I can go? for example, can I animate new things and effects or new spell concepts and functions? or I only get to work on the basics and just amplify / modify them?

We'll be adding to this list and the community already has some great videos/walkthroughs going.

As for your limits - you can do quite a bit. You can add entire new classes/monsters/environments with new skills/items/effects/sounds/etc. You can remove things from the game or rebalance how things work. It's not *completely* unlimited - but there's a lot to work with.

I have been trying to understand this editor but cannot seem to find a way to get a new item into an existing save. Anyone know how to do this?

Easiest way is to create your item, package the mod, open the game in mod mode then open the console and type in 'item 'YOUR ITEM NAME HERE'' and it'll flip out onto the ground next to you.

Unfortunately it is mostly greek to me. No idea how to package a mod without screwing up everything.
