Level 100 - and what now?
Currently Level 100 is the maximum level you can reach. As fas as I can see, you have to reach this level to be able to use the souls. It would be nice to know what possibilities one has now.

Play another class is good. Try to get the best gear you can find for your 100 in runs.

Why everyone considers max level a big deal in game like this? Level is an aid, that allows you to equip tougher gears, better weapons or improve your skill to the maximum, it should not be a goal.

Games like this tend to have tons of things you can do, even without additional mods, you can explore the world and discover things you never hoped might be in there, you can get a better gear and pump your character up to maximum or face the challenge of higher NG+ tiers and see how far you can get, or if you actually can ultimately beat the game with character you created... or you can simply start a new character and try out something else.

Synergiesmod is like world of warcraft raids.

What dp you consider as 'beat the game'?

Interesting question and answer heavily depends on a game genre, but since Torchlight is ARPG, let's stay at that.

There are several answers to that question, depending on how much fun do you have playing the game. Let's get some stages that can be counted as "beating the game":

1. Finishing the main story - basically killing the last boss, it takes few hours to get this far in TL2, you know how the story ends
2. Finishing the game in the hardest mode - in this game it basically means getting through all NG+ tiers on Elite, challenge basically stops at this point
3. Building a character to it's maximum potential (or reasonably close) - basically getting endgame gear and enchants, max level, max fame - basically at this point character can deal with everything ingame as easily as possible
4. 100% achievement completion - for some people game is complete as soon as they get all Steam achievements

However beauty of most ARPG games is, that they will allow you to build new character from scratch in pretty short time and make it pretty powerful quickly, which allows you play the game for a pretty long time. And well, the point of games like this is not really beating it, it's more about having as much fun as possible and that might mean different things for different people. For me, even after 300+ hours, several pretty powerful characters and countless kills of various bosses, finding a lot of legendaries this game is still fun.

Thank you again. I would also think killing the Netherlord on Elite in the highest NG+ mode is a good definition. Right now I am a long way off this goal - having a Ninja at L100 in NG+++, but in normal, another ninja in veteran and a lot of others. At least now I know what I have to look for and how I should develop my characters. Using Far East and Synergy mods.

synergiesmod adds a different type of completion, raid tiers at max level instead of NG+s.
tier 0 tier 0.5 tier 1 set items for each class, including other i tems like gems and tier enchants, synergiesmod also adds classes, warlock, paladin, ranger and necromancer. This also suggest more success with a multiplayer for defeating the tougher bosses. I really like it. When ur done with NG+ checkout synergiesmod, we are a few farming tier0-1 stuff every day!.
