How to use a map?

There are some "use a map" achievements and I don't know how to get this. I "used" the map by pressing m to toggle map, but that seems to be something different ...

I believe you need to have completed a playthrough to open up the mapworks area and then there is a merchant that sells various dungeon maps. Now if you have mods there can be other merchants or areas that you could get maps.

correct once you play the game through at least once Mapworks will be activated when using that character. Its the endgame hub where you can enchant stuff and have the vendors you need in addition to the gem crafters and of course the map seller. Buy a map and use it on the selector and voila.
