Where to turn in robot parts, and other questions

I got the robot quest early in the game, found a part or two, and then forgot it. I finally found another part on the way to Cacklespit, but I have no idea where I go to turn it in. Or even how to find out my progress on that (or any other) quest.

I'd also like to know if I can see which side-quests I might have missed during the main play-through.

Now that I beat the final boss and am in the Mapworks, I'd like to know if I can return to town from a map, like with a portal scroll, and be able to go back. Or is that map lost forever once I leave? How many levels does each map have?

There is a good Robot Part walkthrough in the Guides section. To get back and forth between Mapworks maps and town, just use a portal scroll and warp back and forth.

re: Robot parts, I don't want to look at a walkthrough -- I'll either do the quest myself or not at all. I just want to know what my current progress is and where I can find whoever it was that gave me the quest.

So the robot parts quest giver only appears once you have all the parts. After you open up the Minehead into Act 4 the guy just outside should give you a quest about them.

Maps usually open three-level dungeons, last level is boss level. You should be able to return to any map you opened in Mapworks as long as you don't open new map.

As for Robot Parts, you can complete the quest as soon as soon as you unlock Minehead, if you gathered all 5 parts. Parts are usually hidden in areas where other side or main quests lead you. To get a robot part, you always need to complete a hidden objective in that area, which means you have to interact with certain objects in that area. Robot parts are scattered around first three acts.

You need the whole body of the robot parts after that you will find a side quest in the Act 3 after you complete main quest and open the doors into final area

Thanks for the responses.

Without knowing how many robot parts I already have, or which side areas I've already been to, it doesn't make any sense to run around looking for the rest. I assume the quest resets in NG+ so I can just start fresh?

I also figured out the map stuff. Original question was prompted cuz I thought the maps went on "forever" like in TL1. I'm glad these are short enough to complete in one sitting.
