Is there any endless end-game content?
**** I am NOT asking which of the 3 games is the best. That is subjective. I have factual, objective based intentions with this thread ***

What I'm asking for essentially, is what the Torchlight 2 endless counterpart is, if there is any? I'm asking because I'm curious and want to know if this game is a good investment. I don't care about story or atmosphere. That's not what I look for in an action rpg (Which I've heard many say Torchlight 2 is). I just care about gameplay and long term replayability.

When I say endless, I mean...

Diablo 3 allows you to replay missions over and over again. 2.0.1 allows you to reset quests for guaranteed legends by playing through the whole story again. ROS introduces bounties, which are endless

POE has a normal, cruel, and merciless mode. You can start new instances of any dungeon for potentially endless gameplay. There are also maps (I havn't gotten there yet) that allow you to re-do high level maps for more replayability/better loot

I appreciate and give thanks to anyone who takes the time to provide objective, factual based insight.

Well, there is the Mapworks, an endless set of random dungeons on vanilla, or reset the quests on a higher level (a.k.a. New game +). Synergies Mod adds the Realm of Discord, a set of dungeons linked with portals, the Sellrock quest hub (wip) and the Table Mountain. Table mountain is for level 100 characters and poses quite the challenge. It's also something like a quest hub, only w/o quests, instead you can choose out of 3 different dungeons where you collect epic gear in merciless boss-fights.
Makenshi Crona,

Thanks for the reply. I did see New game+ on the store page, but I was unable to determine if you could restart it an endless amount, or if you could just do it the one time.

As for the rest of your response. Are all of the dungeons you listed mods, or are they included in the vanilla version?
Unfortunately not. The listed dungeons are part of the Synergies Mod. The Synergies mod is a major conversion of the game, it adds 3 more classes, heaps of new gear, increases the monster populatuion, adds some tweaks so skills which aren't that useful in vanilla become viable and of course the aforementioned endgame content. You can look up the details in the Steam workshop as well as on Moddb.com. Finally, even if you install mods, you still can play the vanilla version if you don't like the mod(s). I myself can only praise Synergies mod, and so will many other community members.

P.S. I myself am not familiar how many times you can reset NG, I've played up to NG+++ in Vanilla.

You can play until NG+++++, at which point the game simply starts repeating itself.

simply starts repeating itself.

What do you mean by that? Do you mean that in terms of difficulty, NG6+ is the same as NG5?

Hit up :gmod:oogle and you'll see :D:

New Game Plus 5 (NG+5) starts the world at level 120.

You may continue to loop through the game, but all future playthroughs will be considered NG+5.
