if you use mods you even get more options, like raid bosses with synergies mod.
There are a ton of mods for this game, and they are the real endgame. It's fun to mix different batches of mods together for more pets and more classes and various quality of life items. However, most of us recommend that you play the vanilla game first so you'll appreciate everything the mods can do for the game and you'll have an idea of what kind of mods you'd like. The vanilla game is good on its own.
Vanilla = unaltered by mods
Basically the original game within the first 4 Campaign Acts, the 4 original classes of Engineer, Embermage, Outlander, and Berserker; Mapworks, Tarroch's Tomb, and NG+5.
Thanks
