No. And if you even mention the word "controller" here, everyone jumps down your throat. Shame on you for being in pain. Everyone knows computers are only capable of supporting one input device and only one.

I actually play Torchlight 1 on the 360, mod-free and in all its choppy glory over this game specifically because of this exact issue. And I'm not a fan of consoles.

And to make it perfectly clear before anyone else brings it up for the hundredth time, there is NO viable 3rd party ap or mod that brings it in line with the native supported offered by the console version of the first game. They are NOT the same.

In any event, your question has been asked and answered. Now you can sit back and enjoy while your thread degenerates into people raging back and forth over why a controller shouldn't be used in a PC game.

Best of luck! <3

Try to improve your sitting position. If the table is too high, you will get pain in your wrist.

Thanks, i am really carefull about sitting position, because i am a software developer and also i am using mouse in office thats why i wanted to prefer gamepad at home. I will try to buy more confortable mousepad. Thanks for answers. By the way, Mihael thanks for your attention but i am not against of keyboard and mouse, i actually play more flexible with them but my arm problem do not let long play time to me :)
Hi. I work in IT and I play a lot of PC games at home. Both at home and at work, I use 2 of these: http://smile.amazon.com/Fellowes-Crystals-Wrist-Rest-91137/dp/B00006B8IN/

I put one in front of the keyboard and one in front of the mouse pad. They ensure that nerves in my wrists do not get pinched, causing CTS or other permanent damage.

I use these mouse pads. They're large, thick, and don't slide around: http://smile.amazon.com/SteelSeries-QcK-mass-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B001O867XG/

Besides that, don't sit at your desk for 12 hours straight.

If your wrist hurts after playing, and you need your wrists for work, try to find a good chiropractor. Also, take some tylenol occasionally and use tiger balm, maybe leave it on overnight and put a sock over your whole hand so you don't get tiger balm all over.

Throwing my two cents in, I just picked this up for Switch, and was so impressed that I bought it on Steam as well. Controls are so good on Switch, that I just assumed Controller support here.

It's not a deal-breaker for me, but it is a disappointment.

I feel you, man. I'm a PC gamer through and through. Always have been. I just love using the mouse in most games however for Diablo-esque ARPGs I kinda prefer using a controller and just sitting back and chilling. Too bad this game wasn't updated to include controller support found on the console version. Sure, I could use my Steam Controller to play it but the experience just isn't the same.

I came here to ask the same. In fact, I made this question long ago, and even ended up using the mod somebody did to use the controller. I am just curious about the feeling of a native controller support (I played Torchlight 1 on Steam). I don't know if the ones who did the Nintendo Switch port are exactly the same people, but having the feature ported back to PC would be fantastic for me. (I am playing the game using K+M and I really enjoy it, but I would like to try it with the controller and I have friends who usually don't play videogames and would learn easier this way)

To be honest, that last line, about computers only being capable of supporting one input device, is pure BS. So much so, that I actually didn't know if you were being sarcastic or not, to be honest. Plenty of games these days, on PC, support controllers. To say otherwise is lunacy.

Why should anyone jump down his throat?

I'm like him. I've been begging for controller support for years.

People say it wouldn't work, but those people are talking out of their anus.

If it wouldn't work, then explain to me, why Torchlight 1 and 2 work perfectly well on the Xbox One? Why do they work perfectly well on the Nintendo Switch? All on control pads.

It can't be that difficult, to enable controller support on the PC, and to use the same mapping as the Xbox One system.

Despite that, there is still no pad support for PC... Why??

It's not like it can't be done. The Developers have shown that they can do it, by releasing the game on several different consoles.

It seems to me to be more a case of lazyness. They don't want to do it, end of.

To say that it can't be done, as proven, is just plain stupidity and wrong.

XInputMapper
Runic Games Fansite

Wife and I use this. Play on PC with an XBOX controller.
Works for Xbox One Controller

It is a separate exe.
For ease of use, I created a bat file that call XInputMapper then starts the game and pointed steam at the bat file.

My bat file contains:
cd XInputMapper
start XInputMapper.exe
cd ..
start ModLauncher.exe

lol This is a necro thread from 2015. And yes, I was very much being sarcastic at the time. And yes, at the time, EVERYONE was being a total ♥♥♥♥ if you even breathed the word "controller" on these threads. It's less common now, but some still act that way, surprisingly.

To be clear, I've been pushing for controller support in this game literally since its release.

I alternate from Keyboard Control and USB Xbox Controller Plugin.

Whatever's clever for your setup and your muscle memory!
