[Win 10]Game is not even starting

I got a new Torchlight 2 Version today. But i cant get any further than the first Launcher.
I have the ability to choose beetwen "start" or "mods+start" but either way the game will crash.

If i press on the start button my windows says that the game is not working and it will close it.

I re-installed it several times and tried other stuff like, steam cloud disable, deleting some files ...
nothing worked.

A little help would be cool :)

Did you try to run the game in compatability mode with win 10?

Same here but on Win 7. Disabled all mods and still crashing after first loading screen.

Runs fine for me in windows 10 without needing to do anything, so not 10 directly doing it, espcially as someone without 10 is having the issue.

Having the same issue. Win 10. Haven't played the game in a very long time but decided to go back to it, now can't play. Did a full uninstall and re-install. Tried loading with and without mods. Almost instant crash either way.

I've run this game on Win 10 no problem before, but it's not working for me on Win 10 now. I just re-downloaded it today and tried to play; nothing happens after I click the play button when launching from Steam. When I go directly to the Torchlight2.exe in the game files, I get a message that the game can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from my computer. I've tried verifying the game cache and it says it has all the files.

Here is the file that's missing, right from the Microsoft site:

Once I downloaded it the game launched just fine.

So ive tried to download the windows file, but i already had it. So i tried the compatability mode ... but neither worked.
My Torchlight is still crashing after i press play on the first launcher.

I have windows 10 and my game work very well
Reeinstall game ande grafic drivers.

I don´t know exactly what you mean but i think i got both.
I got direct 12 and i think .net frameworks version 4

Not working for me, either. Win 10. As soon as I hit "new game" the game crashes.

EDIT: I put it in Win 8 compatibilty mode and now it runs for me. But don't try to run it with the "test mode" button from the Windows screen as it always failed to launch. Launching it from Steam works fine now.
