Essential first timer mods?

So playing with my friend and it's our first time playing an action RPG and wanted to know what mods are best for us first timers.

I've seen a few after looking online but wanted to know from people here.
Quality of life mods like Extra Chunky for example seems like a no brainer but I'm wondering if I should install any additional content mods like the Far East one?

depends how modded you want it.

I'd recommend at minimum the respec potion mod. Without it you can only respec your last 3 skill points.

If you're looking for a more modified experience, the torchlight 2 essentials mod is a great mod pack that enhances the game.

Yes i am one of those fanbois who says "play it vanilla first time around" but I'll cast my vote with@Greenegg above and say go with just some QoL mods to start.

As far as QoL mods go, yep TL2 Essentials (by LoneWolfMcquade) is a well made merge-mod of some of the most popular QoL mods.

Hmm I looked through that and from the comments sounded a little immersion breaking. I spent a good while on the workshop and think I found some good mods.

Yeah I went with a good couple I found which pretty much keeps it completely vanilla. And thanks, hoping me and my friend enjoy it so we can get into all the other action RPGs like Diablo.
