Thank you very much for your reply.
Unfortunately I'm not using a Razer headset (just ordinary earbuds), so the first solution didn't work.
Running the game or Steam as administrator didn't work. Running Steam as admin doesn't change anything, and running the game as admin makes it crash on startup (Fatal Initialization Failure)
Thanks again,

Thanks for helping me understand.
Is there any chance that there are any other programs or apps running in the background (check the task manager) that enhance or boost game performance?
Is there any app that may enhance or alter sound?
Glad to help!

I'm having some weird problems with my audio these days. I suspected that these would come into play when trying to find the cause for my issue with the game, so I don't know if it's that for sure, but I'm pretty confident that they are linked somehow.
I made a Reddit post detailing these issues if you would like to check it out, maybe you could spot something and point me in the right direction? If not, I understand, I don't want to take all of your time!
Here's the thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/8c4car/realtek_hd_audio_manager_empty_other_sound/
Also, I noticed I have a lot of background processes (54 processes), it seems high, but when I check it's either Windows stuff or programs that I know. Anyway, not sure that this is linked to my issues but I figured might as well provide too much info than not enough.
Thanks again,
