is online play better than epic games?
I own tl2 on epic games and I can't even join online play due to firewall issue, the population is dead. Is steam any better? no firewall issue, are there still people playing online?

The 'Firewall Issue' is wide spread for TL2 Multiplayer on any version of Windows, Mac, and Linux hence the work-around that gets recommended is Port Forwarding:
