Your saved game files for each character are (or should be) in:
MyPC/Documents/my games/Runic Games/Torchlight 2/*save*/somereallylongrnadomnumber/
If you launch the game *without mods*, the game looks there.
If you launch the game *with mods* the game looks in:
MyPC/Documents/my games/Runic Games/Torchlight 2/*modsave*/somereallylongrnadomnumber/
So... If you've been playing without mods - like I was - and want to try out some mods, copy everything - or just the character(s) you want to mod and the sharedstash_v2.bin, settings.txt, keybindings.dat - from the ...save... folder into the ...modsave... folder.
Start the game and select the lower arrow - "play with mods" and all your characters should be there.
This is how Runic separates modded players from playing with "vanilla" players. Runic approves and even encourages players to mod the game as they want. You're not hacking or cheating, you're just playing a slightly different version.
Hope that helps.
that helped me man thank you
