Mod Download Timed Out

Whenever I start the game up, the launcher stops loading the mods at a certain point and says “download timed out”. Then, once I reach the load order before I launch the game, none of the workshop mods appear. Even when changing the amount of mods, verifying the game cache integrity, and multiple uninstalls, the issue still persists. Steam says the mods are downloaded and the workshop says I’m subscribed to the mods. No mod in particular is causing the issue either. I’ve also tried downloading the mods manually and it’s only caused more problems(which I assume would be solved if the workshop mods worked). Any help with the issue is appreciated.

EDIT: completely shut down steam and restarted it. Works now.

I’ve tried this before, and it hasn’t worked, but, I’ll try again when I get on later though. Somethings gotta work eventually.

The above posts were helpful and gave me some insight into the problem, but still no fix has seemed to work. The only feasible way to solve this problem seems to be just waiting it out. Thx for the help, now i must wait for steam voodoo magic to kick in.


Update: Workshop mods still wont show up in the mod launcher, and downloading mods manually causes the mod configuration tab in the server select to display mod errors for mods I don't even have downloaded, making playing the game modded on multiplayer UNPLAYABLE, I hope a fix is discovered eventually, or it just sorts itself out.

I fixed this in Windows 7 by pointing my documents folder to the mounted drive letter instead of the server name.
details: A lot of my personal files and game directories are on a network drive we'll call "serverName" in the directory "Home". I have "Home" mounted as the "Z" drive.

The "My Games" folder was on this network. When I right-clicked it and selected properties I would get:
Location: \\serverName\Home\Documents
So I changed this by right-clicking on the "Documents" folder, selected properties and on the "Location" tab where it has
\\serverName\Home\Documents
and changed this to:
Z:\Documents
Everything works now, the mods appear in the left window and run perfectly. So Mod Launcher doesn't like network paths it seems. But change the reference in explorer to a mounted drive letter and it works.

Because mod launcher didn't work anymore there needed to be a concerning corrupted file. i had a look and found modlauncher.sch in the mygames/tl2 folder. Before the new install of tl2, i copied this file to another directory.
Now tl2 mod launcher had to do a new one after my install. All i want to say: Maybe i didn't have had to uninstall anything. Just deleting (or backing up) the obviously corrupted modlauncher.sch would have made it.

Tried all these and none have had any results. My drive locations are fine, deleting modlauncher.sch had not effect along with going into the registry and chaning those two things. I really do appreciate you going out of your way to help me out, but I dont think this problem is solvable. Maybe I'll just have to move on, I dont really know. But thank you anyway.
