Is Salan's Left Hand (claw) buggy?

I found the Salan's Left Hand claw, which I quickly put on my Berserker's left hand. (It wouldn't even fit on the right.) It is allegedly a weapon that would acquire additional features after killing 25 enemies. I was in an area filled with various bandits, warmakers, warbeasts, and the like. After I killed several, I noticed that the weapon said "0 of 25 killed." What? Weren't they trying to do away with me? If they weren't enemies, why were they trying to kill me? Well, maybe it had to be a kill with only that weapon, and not by my other claw or by my pet. I took off my other claw and sent the pet off to sell a few items. After I killed about 50 friends(?) I noticed that the gauge still read "0 of 25 killed." Has anyone else had this problem? If not, would anyone care to buy a slightly-used, like-new Berserker's claw, cheap? Bitcoins and Monopoly currency accepted.

Incidentally, I hadn't played TL2 for awhile. I was amazed at how Synergies has changed; heck, even the vanilla game has changed. Keep up the good work, all you modders out there!

I've heard about it but i can't remember. Maybe you have to kill monsters in some of the Tiers (maybe in Derinkuyu?)
