Question about Hamachi and Firewall

Anyone got any idea why does the firewall blocks my friend from connecting, but when i turn it off he can connect( I do have the game at exceptions) Also does anyone play this game using hamachi ? I had encountered problems with it mostly not seeing my friend's game but he can see mine somehow.

Others have issues connecting Torchlight with Hamachi however more success was found with alternatives:

Mumble, Tunngle, Evolve and others.

Thanks. I did what that guy say in the first link. Still doesn't work well. If I disable firewall friend can connect, is very annoying. Also only he can see the game if I host but I can't see him if he is the host.Also tried this http://forums.runicgames.com/discussion/40863/one-solution-for-missing-lan-games It was working for like 3 days then again I couldn't see his game anymore :(
