Using skills from both Trees is a good option however Tundra also has good skills for this build as well.
I'm no expert on Berserker skills however I can say that skills that enhance survival are very important.
Damage skills can be chosen to your liking however skills that encourage movement or disruption while damaging foes are the better options.
On the shadow side, Wolfpack takes a long time to get up to speed but ends up being pretty OP. Only thing is it doesn't build its own charge, so usually you'd pair it with Storm Hatchet, which is bugged at rank 15 to always give a full charge.
The Tundra tree has Northern Rage, which is kind of like a low budget version of Wolfpack. You could use it as an intermediate skill if you went that route. Glacial Shatter caught my eye with the chance of Blindness, but all you can do is target a general area. The random dispersal pattern of the geysers makes it too unreliable.
I remember Ravage, if I'm thinking of the same skill, making the end of my last run much easier. What does a monster in a blender say? Not much.
