Just started playing for the first time , veteran difficulty.

Couldnt find any detailed archer build guide & the discussion search have many results because of frecuent mention of archer enemys.

Suggestions? Also , any suggestion to new player.

More details required yet I'll give my best answer.

Outlanders have access to passive and active ranged skills that will boost Bows and Pistols.

Engineers have active skills for Cannons.

Embermages have skills for Wands.

Berserkers have a few ranged skills in their Tundra and Shadow Trees.

= = =

If the skill relies on DPS then use a high DPS weapon and invest Strength.

If the skill relies on anything else then invest in Focus.

A little Dexterity will help achieve critical hits.

Use a "One Handed" and a "Shield" with some "Vitality" for extra defense.

= = =

I hope this helps!

Not an Archer Guide yet it is similar if "Shotgonne Mastery" is removed.

Chaos Burst 15
Shadow Shot 15

= = =

rapid fire 15
cursed daggers 15
venomous hail 15
long range mastery 10
shotgonne mastery 1
poison burst 15
share the wealth 15
repulsion hex 15
stone pact 15
master of elements 15
shadowling ammo 1

This is basically the max amount of skill points.

If you want to use the "Chaos Burst" or "Shadow Shot" then you would have to sacrifice some points somewhere.

Both of those Guides offer some useful skill info that would benefit an Archer (Bow) build.

Archery is weak on this game... go with Outlander shotgonne build if you want a great ranged build that isn't a "spellcaster".

Yeah , i ended up playing shotgonne. Hate when archery its underpowered.

Endgame bowlanders can really lay in the hurt through Venomous Hail. Mainly because it's both a DPS skill and an Elemental skill so after pumping strength, switching to focus through skulls and the like is extra damage.

You gotta be patient though and plan your build some 30 levels ahead.

"Boris the Stat Enchanter" along with the class exclusive gear sets of level 99 or 105 will play an important part in making the end build very powerful.

Also, this.

I even socketed a skull for secondary target damage so VH now does the same damage everywhere it hits.

It already does. Secondary targets would be when you swing a sword for example and cleave nearby mobs.
