Which class would be good for a Singe Player Run in Vanilla T2?
Hello, I bought this game quite some time ago and I've played a few times. so far i've only played Outlander but I don't fill fulfilled with this class mostly because i'm playing a single player run and i end up dying a lot. Maybe you'll say that I should try playing with people but I want to finish this game the same way I finished diablo 2 (on single player) first.
So... I've come to ask you guys for advice.
which class would be good to play on a single player run? or at least a fun one to try so i don't get bored?.

thanks.

Try the EmberMage.

I always prefer to be a magic user in all games, Mage, Sorcerer, You name it. but I have found it's better to play as the Engineer, using heavy attacks to hit mutliple enemies at once, also doing massive damage.

It depends on your playstyle.
The embermage and the Outlander are the most fragile of the classes, but get more ranged skills and good AoE damage, also got the best movement skills in the game for scaping. So both tend to be a on the Glass Cannon style, with still a lot of diversity in skills. specially the outlander getting some awesome spells and some cool summons, but don't expect to make a viable tank embermage or tank outlander.
The berserker is a masive melee dps dealer, hitting fast and focusing on life steal, armor penetration and crits. Still a lot of variety on the skills, geting some auras, summons and ranged skills, but again don't expect to build a viable ranged berserker or a heavy tank.
And last the Engineer, If you want to go around with heavy two-handed weapons making things explode with damage skills this is your class, if you want to wield a cannon and run around shooting it while using robots to do your dirty work, this is your class, or if you want to build a Sword & Board tank, this is your class.
I have beaten the game with all the classes, and all are viable, you just need to ajust your playstyle to the class or find the class that fits your playstyle to have fun.
If you want to check all the skills of every class you can check them in the skill calculator here: http://tidbi.ru/eng/tindex.html maybe that will tell you more about what class to choose.

I just started playing this game recently also. From my experience so far, definitely engineer! He's basically a tank. Just get good loot and use your wee mechanical robots to either heal yourself or shoot down enemies. I haven't tried the other classes, but I have rarely died using the engineer so far. I've been able to defeat most bosses on a lower level just by using lots of health and mana potions and using my robots.

All classes can be good, just depends on your playstyle and what you are good at. For beginning and getting solid footing in the game, I recommend using either a Prismatic Bolt Embermage or a Blast Cannon Engineer. Once you get that solid foundation of how the game works and the enemies you'll face and everything, I would recommend more optimized builds such as the Shotgonne Outlander, the Emberquake Engineer, or my personal favorite, the Shocking Orb Embermage. There's no way you can get more damage and mobility, but it requires a specific setup (like using a 2h greathammer beyond lv 55 or so, among other things). Enjoy!
