Can anything be done about the attic in chapter 3?

What it says in the title really. Those curse emitting piles are a massive pain and I can't damage them or anything. Is the solution really just move fast and stack curse resist? Or did I miss something obvious?

Same. I was just hoping for a better way.

There is a ring that negates almost all curse rot damage, that helped me a lot
Though you cannot cast anything while curse-rotted, it's still allows you to slowly explore the floor

Was trying everything to destroy those annoying curse piles. I don't think anything can.

Either spam spirit twigs or use the curse form spell if in NG+. You don't take any damage while in these.
To deal with the enemies, either burst them down with the shotgun when the effect ends, then pop it again and leave to reload or place down a Harvest Field spell in between the effects.

SPIRIT TWIGS! I never used them outside of chapter 1 so I have a ton as well. The enemies weren't to much of a problem since I upgraded the harvest field. It has carried me through almost every boss.
