Please help me

Their are two things im struggling with doing/understanding, firstly the demon, i down get how to make him calm the ♥♥♥♥ down, do you just have to let him slaughter all of floor 5 every other day?, i know their a relic that makes him non hostile but that leads into my other problem. Im having a lot of trouble with enemy scaling/leveling my minions, i dont get how to get my guards past like rank 4 and meanwhile ill be around rank 3 or 4 and being invaded by groups of rank 10s that will slaughter me

Well another relic will fix that by nerfing the raiders. Maybe more practice rooms // raids ? Also weapons, if you have enough of them will make your guards be recruted at rank 6 once you're full. Not enough for later invasions, but stil a buff. Other than that...

I played sandbox and got a relic that claimed to limit adventurers to level 10, it did not work

hmm... the last patch is supposed to fix relics. I didn't get this one yet.
