Workaround for Quest 3 Tracking Issue
Update:
Currently, we recommend playing with BodyLink feature for quest users.
With the mobile app tracking your feet and Quest hand tracking for hands,
You can play without controllers or trackers.

The Cause
Right now Quest3 has a system level logic of "putting the controller into hand tracking position", which messes up the controller tracking on foot.

Unfortunately this is hard coded in Quest3 system right now, we cannot turn it off. To our knowledge, Meta is planning to fix this but no ETA yet. We're also waiting for it.

Also due to the design changes on Quest 3 headset and controller, it doesn't track controllers on foot tip as well as the Quest 2 does. The controllers need to be strapped higher and closer to the headset.

Workaround

TLTR:
  • Strap the controller right under the knee, facing in-wards.
  • Hide the hands from the headset during gameplay, either in the back or pocket.

When the problem will be fixed? I’ve been trying the demo for an hour, but it still can’t track my foot well. I’ll buy it when the problem is fixed.
