Why does this game install Easy Anti Cheat and have a third party Eula

It just seems fishy to me, and can cause issues on steam deck. Theres no MP yet.
Anyone have an idea?

Could be planning for the future. I'm not understanding why you think it's fishy. If the game started setting off anti-viruses, anti-malwares, etc then maybe it'd be fishy. but it's just anti-cheat and a third-party eula.

nah, I'm with OP, anti cheat on a single player game is a bit fishy. was multiplayer ever confirmed as something coming?

I cant find easy anti cheat on my pc or the game files wich is usually the case. I dont think there is?

Can someone please confirm if the game actually installs some kind of anti cheat or other MP related 3rd party tools? If so, can it be avoided/removed, game played offline etc.?

The game looks great and the price fair but I really want no silly 3rd party apps monitoring my solo gameplay.

Maybe it is just overzealous lawyers covering all angles in EULA including stuff not actually in the game? On the other hand, what is not there yet might be added later - as others did e.g. with degenuvo.

I didn't see any sign of any sort of anti-cheat.

I have seen a lot of threads stating bold face lies for clown emojis for some reason, so gonna need evidence.

And even if it is Easy Anti Cheat, well it's in Xenoverse 2 and a lot of people play that just fine so probably nothing to fret about.
