still, quite in love with it, they got the feel of it down pat
gotta pump a whole lotta shells into them / get more of that rush
TBH i would rather it have been a flamer.
And yeah, as someone mentioned earlier, the stats (Boltgun 4, Shotgun 3, etc) are based on old 40k tabletop rules (pretty sure it's 2nd edition, could be 3rd though) and those weapons strength stat.
Anything is better than the Doom 3 shotgun.
Especially when you consider what you are dealing with and what shotguns do in Space Marine arsenal - this is a scout weapon - a toy for initiates - a gun for breaching operations and dealing with very lightly armoured targets.
And shotgun in Boltgun does exactly that - it deals with light chaff rather well. It is not meant to be the heavy hitter of the arsenal like more traditional FPS shotguns.
