I'm not aware of any DOOM game that has ADS. There's ADS with certain guns in Brutal DOOM though.
You're talking about a game where you can't even aim up or down unless it's modded.
Really... he just means that the model of the Doom gun is actually in ADS as standard view while this game you see the model on the side holding it from the hip.
I disagree that the classic centered weapon view is meant to represent that the DOOM guy is in ADS. If it was the case, the barrel of the weapon wouldn't be pointed up but would rather be obfuscated by the butt and sight of the gun.
