cannot move ingame (Mouse and Keyboard)

Just downloaded this and looking forward to it, although I seem to have a massive problem,

I can interact with the menus, change controls, move the mouse freely, but as soon as i get past the first cutscene I can't move? The keyboard and mouse completely lock up, I can't even press escape to access the menu? I have to either alt-tab out or ctrl-alt-del

This happens every time I try to play.

Anyone else having this issue?

Found a solution. on steam game page go to properties, controller and change it to disable steam input.

I just bought it today and its unplayable. Cannot move. I have a HOTAS on my PC and I am not going to unplug that just to play this game.

Ups another post about this issue, plug/unplug the controler is not a "fix" and since xbox 360 controler dont have switch for X-input/D-input, maybe i should pass for this game and save that money for other game. -.-!

Thanks for the reply defiant. Too bad. Was looking forward to this. To make matters worse I have a Tartarus V2 and someone else reported they had to unplug it. As I can't click buttons with my right hand, I need the thumb button on it to click left mouse etc. Its infuriating when developers make things so hard for people with disabilities.

There was a workaround switching X to D on the gamepad, but that seems to not work anymore.

No other game has this issue.

This just bricked the game, disable controller does nothing. Cannot move or look only fire. Only thing I can do is control alt delete.

This is exactly what I was getting. Seems like it could be solved with the addition of the ability to force the game to ignore controller input and do KB&M only. Should be relatively trivial?

That seems to be the solution. But for now, not matter I do the disable in steam options or disable controller in game. It gives the same results, but the gameloop is now sadly start mission, only shoot with lmb everything else locked, control alt delete close to desktop. Hopefully they can give a quick fix. It seems to assume my keyboard is a controller instead of a keyboard. But anyways I put in like 40 hours of the game being amongst best shooters out there while it worked.. But now works on steamdeck.. there is no way to play other than on steamdeck...

Had this issue before and the hotfix patch thankfully cleared it up. I go to play today and keyboard input is entirely unresponsive yet it sees the mouse just fine. Have all drivers up to date, have overrides set up to disable controllers which has worked well in every game but this one. No luck.

Shame, as I was enjoying finally being able to play just to have it become unplayable all over again.

Hi, I am running through Proton 8.03 (desktop, everything up to date). Same issue as the others are seeing. Not quite sure what else to try here.

So this game is just dead for anyone whose keyboard is picked up as a controller with no hopes of being playable on a mouse and keyboard. Now that it’s steamdeck verified can it be unverified for keyboard and mouse….
