Boomers didnt have computers. Gen X was first to have ....essentially whats the first like more than 10 people playing computer games.

Gen Y, my generation straight up took that to the bank, with dial up modems, and understanding port numbers, hooking up hubs, knowing what an ip address is.

Dudes who couldnt connect their schwanson to an electrical socket over here calling us boomers. its disconcerting. if there's not a giant button on it, and you dont even know what the button does. not really qualified for an opinion over here.

i hear ya man. can call um whatever ya want. but that gen x hate. We're either called millenials. (no offense, but not a compliment) or we're called boomers. And we're the effers who made all the cool sh!t cool. from terminator predator aliens to doom wolf sierra.. starcraft. diablo. that was all us. Throwing our shooters to the Boomers and passing all the rest to the millenials...(again no offense) who honestly had their first experiences on halo if they were lucky.

I don't call them that either because the boomers weren't the generation that made these games. I understand that "boomer" here is simply used to mean "old", but it's kind of stupid. Retro FPS is more fitting.

Boomer has transitioned to mean old. Im like 30 but gen z always calls me a boomer for having a PS1.

But also... Shotguns go Boom. Boomstick. Boomer shooters have shotgun gameplay like that of doom.

The first computer game was Pong, which released in the early 1970s. Therefore, yes, they did have computers.

Because the games, such as Doom and Duke Nukem, were developed by boomers in the mid 1990s. Additionally, its premise was shoot-everything-until-it-stops-moving. Thus, boomer-shooter.

I take being a 'boomer' anyday over being a 'wanna-be streamer'. Games in the day was totally skill base, cause there was no patches. There was no real reviews ether. You got what you paid for, and there was alot of crap, but when they got the games right.... it was magic. The same trends today were set by the 'boomers' of yester-year and i'm damn proad to be apart of that history
