cause doom is like 30+ years old now
...so if i can take your attention over here...to this round thing...no...no ...its not a bagel... this is called a cd. it came about almost 60 years after boomers.
yes thats right, round... it spins. thats right. spin spin.
when the spin spin goes round round... magical sounds and pictures shoot out of it... and they're captured by a little tiny magnifying glass.
....this ancient technology. it comes from a time when man discovered a fancy word for salt... and started calling it an electrolyte...
plants dont crave them.
“Immersive sim” is the really dumb term.
thats just grimey.
How ya gonna call it a boomer shooter. its just 8 bit fps. (or a throwback to it)
its like calling french fries freedom fries. its just a dbag move.
second millenials got involved. games lost all boobs, and diversity was more important than story.
then gonna throw our "shake it baby, wanna dance" part in the video game world to the wolves with these references that erase the literal awesomeness that shaped games.
normalize call of duty, and erase all the teeties. Not a cool move.
the only games boomers were playing, was dungeons and dragons.
everquest... that ♥♥♥♥ was ours. neverwinter..ours.. gen x made that a thing.
boomers were still rolling dice.
Boomer has transitioned to mean old. Im like 30 but gen z always calls me a boomer for having a PS1.
But also... Shotguns go Boom. Boomstick. Boomer shooters have shotgun gameplay like that of doom.
Correction: a millennial. Why? Because I'm a millennial. Generation Y is a banal term, in my opinion.
Because the games, such as Doom and Duke Nukem, were developed by boomers in the mid 1990s. Additionally, its premise was shoot-everything-until-it-stops-moving. Thus, boomer-shooter.
And they do love their shotguns.
Also, the joke's on zoomers; we had good video games growing up. Also, hope.
Anyway, I use retro shooters.
