I love this game but come on..

So I'm on my second playthrough which I was aiming to beat the game without dying once and solve the main quest of this particular char (Jan), I was doing a great job since I already know what to avoid, where to go, do, etc.

I fast traveled to a town and while the game was loading I was being attacked by someone, when the game finished loading I died, I actually heard a guy laughing while I was being attacked but the screen was still black, I tried even to pause the game but that didn't make the game load.

I'm using an ssd, this is plain and simple unfair.

Just wanting to vent a little since I lost hours of gameplay because of this, probably will stop now unless something new is added to the game.

Sorry to hear about that experience. To prevent situations like this in the future, we will add protection during fast travel in the next patch. Also, when you died, do you remember which fast travel location it was?

It was in Nevreme town and it was at night, like 3-4 in the morning, I was gonna solve the priest quest.

Nope, I talked with the priest about the witch (I told her I was gonna talk with him not kill him) when I went there and talked he got hostile when I responded "cant we just find a solution to this?" after that, I run away and continued playing the game.
So probably everyone was hostile me to, so spawning in the middle of the town was a bad idea but, in my defense I had no idea I was gonna be attacked while the screen was black and loading and at those hours there would be people just in that spot roaming, normally they go to their houses at that hour and only few npcs are left.

We should disable fast travel for villages that are hostile toward you.
Added to the backlog together with FT protection buff.

Yeah, disable fast travel or maybe warn the player that there are hostile NPCs waiting there, like, 'The people of this town are currently hostile. Maybe try waiting for a few days and come back later.' Because disabling it altogether takes away freedom from the player, and that, in my opinion, is always a bad idea. Since if I were just a tiny bit higher leveled, I would have resisted the attack.

The protection buff while "login" or spawning into the game sounds like a good idea, you might quit the game maybe with a few enemies near you and when you come back this could happen, so it seems like a good idea overall.

Something similar happened to me but at the priest cabin. I fast traveled at night and when I finally loaded in, I was in the cabin getting pounded on by werewolves/vampires and was almost dead. Sounds like the above changes would help this. Thank you

it said dont keep dying to me cause otherwise the world gets more chaotic? whats that mean? it gets harder?
