Free Peoples totems: Unless I missed something, they each seem to just be giving me +1 favorability to a god of my choosing. Since the only two I cared about (Veles and Svetovid) were already at 9 and 7 (and Svet's proc is kind of meh anyway), this is 100% worthless lol. (Maybe if favor wasn't capped at 9, so the cooldown could get even lower on Veles' ability, it'd be a bit more attractive)
So unless the dragon that spawned in near Slave Docks is unique to that faction, it's looking like hot garbage :/
If I figure out how to get to NG+ I'll definitely be picking Horde instead :) (I took the main quest to right before waking Svarog, and finished the Alt quest to kill One-God's guardian...and no offer to start a new world...)
Go to the burning bush (the one on the mountain where you talked with One-God before going underworld)
Talk to it and it would give you an option for NG+
Well, that's how it worked for me*
Additionally, they have unique trainers and traders, and you can increase your stats by making love to Horde women.
Thanks for that info, it worked for my ending! I had talked to all the gods I supported but never thought to talk to the one I literally saw get banished :P
Thanks for the fantastic game lynxbird! The info you gave is still mega-vague though when it comes to actually trying to plan a min-maxed character lol.
Would be nice to know:
Is the dragon being friendly a perk of the Free people, or will I have access regardless of faction?
Is being able to get god's favors from the underworld pit on the island a perk of the free people, or will I have access regardless of faction?
How much stat increase do Horde women give and how much real time passes before I can repeat the process (Like +10 bravery every 45 seconds, or +1 strength every hour, etc)?
The FarmGold -> GambleItems -> Drop-in-Pit-for-Favors -> Turn favors into stats: works out to roughly 5 seconds per attribute point atm. Would like to be able to compare apples-to-apples (for example, a potion of +1 stat takes 15 seconds between uses, so my current method is 3x better)
What exactly does "unique trainers" mean? With Free people, I have some merchants with purple icons that have divine/cursed items I've seen several times through gambling/drops...and trainers with purple icons that still won't train above 90 (fishing/Alchemy/Magic). Would I just have a different set of trainers/merchants that'd train different abilities to 90 (like Blunt/Pierce/etc) and offer other divine/cursed items that I've already seen from gambling/drops?
Or would I get trainers that can train above 100 in skills? And/or merchants that have truly unique gear?
I finished the Main game -Alternate Quest up to right before killing Svarog, then switched to the Expansion Alternate quest through completion and became a Demigod of Perun for +300% max stats.
If I went with killing Svarog (or helping One god) instead, what are their "demigod" options if any? (So I can decide if they would create a stronger synergy with what I'm thinking about doing for my next character)
As for faction benefits, the dragon and the Bezdan hole aren't part of that.
Trainers usually can’t train stats beyond 80-90.
The different factions are there to give you some extra motivation to replay the game through Game+ or a new run, kind of like the starting character side quests. That's why info about the different paths is kept a bit mysterious.
That being said, you can find faction related events on wiki, not sure have you checked that:
