Any way to buff hunting dogs above 3? maybe shrines?

I haven't seen one proc for hunting dogs but i was wondering if there was a limit.

There is a little fire demon in the southwest that drops a named ring which upgrades them to some kind of demon dog, you can see the red little rug he resides on in the map.

3 are enough... I got ring for double damage, ring from demon for hellhounds and about 1100 bones buff... Trust me, 3 are enough*... And 1100 is possible, just use some secret cooking recipe

tell me more about this hellhound ring and secret recipe stuff?

As he said, the ring drops from this small fire demon, west of the swamp town, up in the hills. I think I've seen it drop randomly once or twice as well, or sold, but it's very rare.
Combine two types of meat, and find out. You can get your dogs to become absolute bull sized monsters, you just have to farm quite a bit first :p

is the fire demon a timed event or something? The only thing i've seen up there is the guy sitting by the potions who doesn't seem to do anything.

He's sitting there, but he won't give it up easily, be prepared^^
In fact it is further West than the guy near the potions, it is South-West of the graveyard you went to get the key for the goblin dude.

Guess you spoiled the recipe... My advice - next time just leave it as a little hint, so the person can start their own real-life quest with digging and experimenting =)

Well earned reward by your own actions is a nice way for a joy (instead of getting full info)

Spoil me, life already left out too much basic info that i'm still trying to catch up on it, I don't want to have to do the same while gaming.
