Baba Yaga Sisters fight
Not sure if it's an overlooked design, but I just found out you can't win this fight if you have summons (like dogs) or any source of aoe dot. There is no way to reload either, so dying just because you have a certain build seems like an oversight...

Also, you need to turn off auto-attack or you won't get this done...

This quest seems to be fighting against all established game mechanics so far.

Initially, we thought that Baba Jaga should be terrifying to face, regardless of your power, and the fight should revolve around mind games.

Based on player feedback, many didn’t enjoy this fight, so we’ve been improving it since release (e.g., Veles’ tips, an adventurer helping with magic potions and advice, poetry notes etc.).

One of the improvements was ensuring that summons wouldn’t interfere and disrupt the fight.
We will investigate what could have caused the dogs to trigger their displacement, as that sounds like a bug.

Dogs are not causing displacement, but they interrupt their actions - at least that's what I think it is - because I got them on opposite sides, with walls behind them, staring at each other, and nothing happens because one of them is constantly interrupted by dogs.

But I think this is the problem with Ironman mode games - you can't really deviate too much from an established gameplay.

Take Elden Rings for example - when you die, you die because you didn't dodge or anticipate a boss movement, but it's all within the game's mechanics.

Here, you just go in and die without having any fault, because the entire fight doesn't follow any established game mechanics.

I am salty because my dude had 90 INT and 90 STR and matched my build very well xD

This fight can be a real game stopper. Playing a ranged Char or/and have summons is hard like hell. I quit the game some month ago since there was also a bug (?), the sisters did not move anymore. They stood one next to another, no matter what i did. I still had potions, the blue ones and also healing potions, one wall was standing, but they did not move, no matter what i tried. Very frustrating. I still hoped there woud be a solution with the new dlc, but looks like it is not. This nearly ruins the game.

With the DLC, you can ignore the entire main questline, as there is a completely new main questline.

That being said, when it comes to base game main questline, we made a video that could be useful.

The whole thing with them is to slay them 8 times while they are placed diagonally across from each other to break each wall of house. After that they are dead and quest is done.

When it comes to mentioned bug, this is the first time hearing about that bug. We could look into it to try and see if we can reproduce it.

Yes i knew what i had to do, was fast and not very difficult with the first walls, but suddenly they kept standing together, no matter what i did. Took my second weapon , the torch (!) to come near them, wanted to shove one aside, no chance. I don´ t have the saves anymore, this was spring ? 2024. Somebody here in the forum wrote at this time, he had the same problem, so i decided to wait . Also, there was nothing else to do at this time.
I will try it again, and i did not know that the new storyline is an alternative.
But, t.b.h., would be great with a kind of emergency button, that the game realizes when something went wrong. The game is worth it, before that one fight everything was (and is even more, now) nearly perfect, at least what i expect a good game should be.

I agree, this quest is a game stopper. I really enjoyed the game until now, but I am shelving it until I'll be in the mood to do this fight again or it gets removed from the game. It's not fun, it's not challenging, it's just frustrating.

This fight and the necromancer island dialogue are the two interactions that have received the most negative feedback so far, so I believe there is truth to what you are saying.

It also saddens me to hear that a potential bug may have made the experience worse. For this reason, you have an open invitation, if you're in the mood, we can manually adjust your save file to skip the fight or resurrect a similar character. Just ping me over discord and it will take 5 minutes.
I would truly love for you to experience what we’ve prepared for some of the game’s endings.

If nothing else, thank you for all the kind words about the game otherwise.

Where are the save files located?

I'm gonna try the fight again, I don't like my current char anyway, and then see if we can bring back my 90 INT/90 STR char. That guy was sooooo good for an arcane knight kindof build.

Update: On default difficulty, starting from patch 6.3.0, if the player is stuck in this fight for 15 minutes without solving the puzzle, Veles will intervene.
The player will be freed from the witch's house, and the quest will be marked as completed.

That's great! Though if you're stuck for 15 minutes, chances are you're long dead by then haha!

Since the villager gives you 5 potions and each lasts 1 minute, why not make it 5-10 minutes?

About mana ward potions, they can be crafted, recipes are:
ManaMushroom + ManaMushroom
