Where can I find the grave key

Pretty frustrating to be stuck so early in the main quest...I'm probably missing something obvious. I can't break into the house in that area, and don't even see any graves. I'm right at the big X marking the quest area...but just see a skull when I look at the main map

Hi lynxbird,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. The quest is early on in the main quest line:

"Grave Robber
(Main Story)

Recover the key buried in the grave at the foot of the graveyard"

I go to the "X" indicated which is west of the starting town, but I can't find any grave/key. The only thing in the area is a hut with a locked door.


One more quick question while I have your ear. I tried to fast travel at one point, and was told that it requires 30 food, and I have 0 food. I had a number of meals in my inventory, so was confused about the fast travel mechanic.

Hey, so you can see the amount of food in the hunger globe on the action bar (orange color).
You can eat food by equipping it in its inventory slot and then pressing Q to consume it.

Alternatively, you can enable a setting in the game options to have your character automatically eat food from the inventory. I believe that’s what you’re looking for.
(Gameplay -> Enable Third checkbox)

Regarding the quest, let’s confirm we’re seeing the same thing:

1) You open the quest panel (O on the keyboard).
2) You track the quest from the quest panel.
3) You can click to show the quest on the map.
4) For this quest, it should be south of Bor.
5) For this quest, it exists in the on place show on last screenshot.

Thanks, I found the graveyard. I think I missed it before in the dark.

I had a good laugh though. I got the attention of a bunch of skeletons while searching for the grave, and was running around trying to stay out of their way. I finally saw the key, grabbed it, and fast traveled back to town. It was 2:00 A.M. so I jumped into bed until morning. When I woke up, there were at least half a dozen skeletons surrounding the house I was sleeping in, and shooting at me through the windows <laughs>. I ran outside, and eventually the guards took care of the skellies. I can't believe they somehow ran for miles through the woods, and tracked me back to town. I hope all the bad guys aren't that persistent ;)
