Not sure how to skill my char
Hey everyone!

First of all, i love the philosophical/thought provoking writing of the game which is something i have only seen made this well in Enderal.

Now to my actual question:

I just defeated the first god and died once so far (playing on normal iron man).
I have a necromancer build with almost all the skills (except the wolve and gaining hp by killing my skeletons) which im still figuring out what to multiclass it with. I tried hunter, rough and runebinder but all of it feels kinda redundant because except for bows i barely do any lifting in terms of damage. My skelliboys are basically what im completly relying on and the debuff spells from the necromancer skills.

Any advice what class works well with the necromancer?
Im not expecting to do massive ammounts of damage myself due to me using summons, but right now i feel completly usless in terms of figthing :er_sad:

Runebinder synchronizes well with the Necromancer due to its cooldown reset and mana regeneration skills.

Fortune and Hunter have their own summons and theoretically could work well.

Frostshaper and Guardian would be nice if you need more character safety. Rogue can aid with mobility, Flamekeeper with defeating stronger enemies faster, and Trapper with ensuring victory in slower manner.

The only classes I would not recommend combining with the Necromancer are Blademaster and Berserker, as they have no synergy whatsoever, also Marksman would not work well as skeletons can get in a way of arrows.

The game is designed to be beaten with each solo maxed-out class on normal mode, and a secondary class becomes necessary only on hard difficulty. On normal difficulty, you can pick whichever secondary class you like aesthetically, and you don't need to worry about min-maxing, although no one is stopping you from doing so. :-)

Thanks for the response!
Lately i switched from rough to Runebinder and the mana regen and cooldown reset is defnietly great in that case. Im only wondering how i could make myself more usefull besides the curse and executioner skill. I dont to damage with the spellbook which is kinda a shame, considering i basically maxed out the possible dps with it and still do like 3 more times the damage with a bow, where i have no perks in.

Can you reccomend a weapon maybe with some perks of a ceartain class that could work well? I tried changing into werewolf form with the ring that doubles the damage but then i cant use my debuff skills which is quite sad. Basically im just looking for a way to do some damae myself and not being a support only class.

Ah okay, thats good to know! Still i wish my spellbook would make more damage with my ability points and skills then a bow, when i have none perks with that weapon :er_uwu:

Still it kinda feels weird to swap the weapon iam most trained with to something i have no perks in, because it does high damage on its own.

I would suggest trying the Flamekeeper class. Simply using the combo of Ignite, Fireball, and Fire Pillar is enough to deal serious damage to most enemies.

There is an option in the game settings to swap weapons (e.g., to Expert Book of Fire) and change all spell slots to a different class by pressing the X button.

If you prefer to remain on the Chaos side, you can also try Hunter's Opening Shot and ManaStrike with any spear weapon, or perhaps Rogue's poison abilities.

Lastly, there is the option to farm the Necromancer's Soul Collector skill, as it scales infinitely. There are special rings and a special divine spell book that make collecting stacks much faster.

That is a design choice: magic-related classes have the strongest skills but the weakest auto-attack damage.

I appreciate the suggestions, thank you!
One last question. Why does it say that my balance is more towards order then chaos? I think it was like 17 order and 12 Chaos, but i have 0 order skills atm. What else influences that? Is it because i dont do thinks like stealing and my overall decissions are more ''good'' then ''bad''? Because from my equipment and skills i should be leaning completly towards chaos, while only a few decissions i made had been order.

Whenever you gain experience levels, it can be either of the Order or Chaos type.

Order experience is earned from solving quests by helping others, defeating beasts, or engaging in peaceful actions such as petting animals.

Chaos experience, on the other hand, comes from solving quests in a more evil manner, also by slaying non-aggressive characters (animals, golems, etc.), slaying humans, stealing, or gambling.

For Chaos experience, there are also special potions to craft, and special class passives to further enhance it (last column under Fortune or Runebinder).

The game is designed to initially navigate state towards Order during early stages, but as the game progresses, it offers more opportunities to transition towards Chaos.

If you are looking for more clarity regarding the mechanics, there is an in-game Help Page (F1) as well as a Handbook on our website. https://www.svarogsdream.com/handbook

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I guess because i dont do evil things in general and only gain chaos experience by my skills, items and major decisions order is still the superior thing. I probably end up being 50/50 just like me being in real life in terms of order and chaos :praisesun:

Again, thank you guys for being such amazing devs and doing a kind of story telling most devs arent capable of/dont want to engage in. Some dialoges really made my day and made me get back my love for philosophie and critical thinking! :)
Also probs to your composer. As a composer myself i really appreciate a perfectly fitting soundtrack thats supporting the games approach. I know how hard it is to make fitting music and failed a lot, so you made the right choice in terms of music!
