you cant fight him in normal way since he has undying stats, you need to wait at certain day to have a chance to fight him normally
spoiler: in day 6 you can follow him going to a tombstone west from Bor, there you can ask him what his name and that will trigger a fight with him, but this time you can actually do damage and kill him
Thank you! Will also try it later on today. Yesterday I still managed to lose my character to that demon who robs divine items from you. Accidentally transformed into a doe and got stuck between him and a cliff, then used mana potion instead of a healing one ending up with Veles who offered me to become a plague victim... 😅
No worries, I am already having fun with a new character. They scale up to similar stats as the character you lose, but you still need to train some of the other stats that are lower. The death mechanics in this game teaches you to be careful if you are playing on the Ironman difficulty.
Must say the demon encounter was totally unrelated to the entity on the hill. I love that there are these seemingly random things happening in the game world and look forward to their expansion in the future. If you are still low level, I would recommend you to slowly explore the world and do the main quests until you feel like you to level up some more. The just keep exploring.
