Increase amount of dwarves on the map

How to do that? Doing first quest, have 10 dwarves, need to increase amount till, say, 15.

Just another fast question: is it possible to finish third King's quest on the first map?
It needs me to build traps, but they are on tier 2, which seems to be locked, though i did all possible researches on the tier 1.

Yes it is possible to finish. Off hand im not sure what you might be missing to unlock it but I know that I was able to do it when I played through. Tried to load up my AGOD to check but seems my game just crashes. Follow the line to the traps tech upgrade and be sure you didn't somehow miss something that trailed above/below.

As for spawning more dwarfs. You have to upgrade your spawning pool with gold and that allows you to pump out more dwarfs from it.

Tried again and it just crashed, guess ill reinstall on my desktop. I am on night shift tonight so ill try logging in from my laptop and checking it out too. What was the scenerio name you had the problem in?

The very first one.
I think, i just was needed to wait for 2 research points.

Oh! That does make sense. You do need 2 to pickup the next tier.

As a heads-up for everybody:

If you want to unlock a tech in tier 1, it always costs 1 research point. You need 2 research points to unlock a tech in tier 2. You need 3 for tier 3 and 4 points for a tech in tier 4.
In addition, you must unlock the prerequisite techs first.
Prerequisites are shown with lines in the tech tree.

You do not need to research every tech in tier 1 before you can unlock something in tier 2. You only need to have unlocked the prerequisite techs (and have enough research points).
