i think you have to re install it after awhile or when it starts doing that because i had the same problem and i would just reinstall it and it would be good for a few more months

How I fixed the wallpaper going over desktop
Ok so I see a lot of people have the same problem I had and idk if it will work for you but here is what i did
I turned off wallpaper alive
I did windows+tab and created a new desktop that i closed immediatly
I turned back on wallpaper alive from the app on the desktop
It worked and I have no clue why

It works now but if it doesn't work for u go open service on windows and Run Background intelligenct Transfer Service or any bellow it it helped the first time
