[solved] can't log into gfwl anymore

edit : Found out the solution. I just had to disable the two-steps connexion.

so, here i'm trying to login gfwl to play the game online

i've recently changed my password again and am entering it, and it says my id or password is incorrect, when i actually can log into my mailbox and my account on the website (xbox, marketplace or w/e bs names it is)

isn't the password different than the normal windows live id ? in that case, why could i log in my account on the website ? i have only one account i think

when i go to the forgot password, it just opens me a 404 page on the web browser

any idea ? i tried to change the password into one without any special key and it didn't worked

I have found that the live account password is the same for the games as it is for your email. As it is all tied to the same account (hotmail, GFWL, Skype) you should always use the same password. Try the newer password and see if that helps.

I have a windows phone so I have to use the same i.d./password combo for Skype, my phone, GFWL, MSN, Hotmail email (or outlook etc). It's a unified account and therefore changing the password at one site (e.g.: Skype) will infact change my GFWL password as well. If you're using windows you can unify the account details with sign in assistant.

yes it's the same account, i just found something about creating a new profile 'n stuff, i will try that and say

I would try to get your password reset and go that route else you will have problems trying to get your games added to the new account. If you have save game information and the game serial tied to an account already, trying to add the old games to the new account will be highly problematic.

I created a new profile from the game and it send me to the website via web browser where I could register for a live account with my id (it said i could play gfwl games with it 'n stuff), everything went right but it still said me that my login or pw was incorrect once back in game

i've downloaded the gfwl stuff from the support website to install/update it and it was ok, and there when i try to log in i can't either, but i can still log in on the website

this bs is kinda boring it's unbelievable how they can sell games with broken drm making unable to play

this is why we need to get a new world order for gaming sorted out. These DRM systems are harming the gaming industry because they make certain types of gamers not want to support them. just be grateful we don't own an XBone :) DRM is nothing new and not going away anytime soon. But at least you didn't pay £68 for an alpha. you paid reasonablt price for a working game that by and large works and is good fun.

I have been gaming sinc the 1980's and there was DRM then, albeit slightly different but it's always going to be there.

well i've always be able to play my games, i only have a few ones with gfwl and i can't play them anymore because it's messed up and they apparently don't actively move their asses for the customers

and the price isnt the question here.. i've paid for a drmed game, i could log into gfwl before, and now i can't anymore because it says my pw is invalid when i actually can log in on the website and to my mailbox

do you have a mobile telephone linked to your accounts? You could have a reset email/text message sent to your phone and sort it out that way. It saves you losing your games when you try to start a new account and try to add old games to new account
