How to Fix the Save Game / GFWL problem in Batman Arkham City

Hey there. i had some issues with save games and Game For Windows Live not working with the game, and after contacting the WB Support, in few minutes they replied with a solution that really work. So i´m just pasting the solution here to help you if your are having the same problem.

Here we go:

"Please uninstall and reinstall Windows Live on your system.

To uninstall Windows Live and reinstall it on Windows 8, please do the following:

1. Go to your Control Panel.
2. Select Programs, Programs + Features.
3. Choose Uninstall a program.
4. Uninstall the Games for Windows Live Client.
5. Download the following file. (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient)
6. Right click on the file that downloaded and select proprieties.
7. Select the compatibility tab and select Windows 7.
8. Install the Games for Windows Live Client with the file you downloaded by right clicking it and selecting run as an Administrator.
9. Once the client is installed right click the Games for Windows Live Client and select proprieties.
10. Select the compatibility tab and select Windows 7.
11. Right click the client and select run as Administrator."

I was running the game on Windows 8 64 bits, and before contact the support i´ve tried to reinstall several times the GFWL and nothing... I think the key is to run it on Compatible Windows 7 mode and run as Administrator.

This works (sorta), but now I get a problem when I enter the product key. The CD key given to me by Steam is supposedly invalid. Any solutions?

In this case you should contact Steam.

Worked like a charm, playing through the intro for the third time now.

Amazing, MS started the GFW initiative to make gaming for us PC guys more "plug and play" like the console dudes. It has had the opposite effect whenever I run into it.

I still run Win 7 and this fix doesn't do me a bit of good. I have GFWL.... CURSE YOU BILL GATES!!! If you were a pilot, you'd be the Red Baron. Now where did I put my Sopwith Camel?
