Tiger Helicopter searchlight bug
Hello there, i was playing this game quite fine with everything maxed out with my GTX 660 ti. But now something happenes with the helicopter searchlights. It now looks like the geometrical figure showing the axact area affected by the light, it is too mcuh bright and lagging horribly while searchlights are at you. All other lights, like wall lamps, windows etc work fine. What sort of bug can this be? Thank you in advance.

I'm pretty sure it's somehow related to the MVSS setting, but I haven't gone mucking around with settings to figure it out yet.

Yes, exactly what i'am talking about, i seriously think the game needs a patch still, apparently moving to steamworks, though generally quite smooth, has damaged something.

Yeah, it's a bummer, but with Origins out I doubt we'll see any further fixes at this point, sadly. I guess I'll just have to deal without MVSS, HBAO and Tesselation.

Perhaps, but i've heard lot of complaints about DX11 issuies caused by the switching. I think they'll think of something in time, and for now we can just focus on origins. After all it's the same as Arkham City only bigger. I know lots of people aren't happy with the game but i cant agree. Performance is awesome for me (only a couple small bugs so far and now slow downs or stuttering), story is interesting (batman begins -game version) and mechanics though unchanged is still very good.

For now, please tech.support, devs or whoever else, please take note of this issue and fix it someday would you kindly.

I can confirm that it does work in the non GOTY version of the game with the same settings. Just wondering who would be best to contact about it.

I have managed to fix the issue by replacing two of the graphics cache files from the GFWL version into the Steam version of the game.
Place the files in the .rar file (link down below) into Steam\SteamApps\common\Batman Arkham City GOTY\BmGame\CookedPCConsole. Hit replace for the two files and you're done!

Now you can enjoy all DX11 lights with proper dithering. :D

Hello folks,

I totally would never usually necro a thread like this, but I was wondering if this fix was still available somewhere? Running the GOTY version of Arkham City now and it has this bug, and I can't find a fix anywhere.

If two files need replacing, and someone knows which ones, could someone be so kind as to let me know? I have both versions and can copy them over as needed.
