mouse problems Watcher in the Wings

hey so i am using a mouse and keyboard to play Batman Arkham City GOTY , no problems yet until the last part of the side quest Watcher in the Wings , after scanning the fourth symbol on the ground, a map appears and you have to solve the puzzle by moving and rotating all the symbols on the map, for some reason I cannot move the symbol at all , i can rotate them around and make it bigger and smaller , but i cannot move the symbol to allign it with where it needs to go. Is this a bug , or a glitch ?

thanks for the reply , even when i rotate it to the correct spot it needs to be, i cannot move the symbol at all to even algin it , i can make it bigger and smaller but i cannot even move the symbol to place it , so it doesnt align.

Do WASD or arrows move it, or your holding down a button on your mouse? I've never played it kb/m, so I don't know the controls.

according to the game i am supposed to move it with the mouse , and rotate it with WASD , i have tried to move it with the arrows , but all that does is rotate the symbol just like wasd

Can you hold down the mouse button and try to drag it?

no i cannot hold the mouse button down , the mouse pointer goes away once the map is pulled up , i cannot even access the menu to exit the game

Have you solved this? I'm having the same issue and can't find anything about it online.

I passed this point using mouse and keyboard a few days ago and it worked just fine. You may simply be confused by the lack of a distinct mouse cursor, but simply moving the mouse will move the symbols.

It is possible that you have to rotate the symbols into the correct orientation and set them to the correct scale before you are allowed to move them, but I don't think that's the case. (Can't be sure, as I did orient and scale them first, before even touching the mouse.)

I have the same problem as well !! I'm playing in Mac OS X platofrm. Anyone have any idead ?

i did in fact get past this , when the map came up for you to move the symbols , i noticed that the mouse cursor went away , so i pressed command, option , escape ( on Mac OS X) this freed the mouse cursor and it allowed me to complete the puzzle , i know this isnt the best way but it did allow me to continue the game - hope this helps

Thank you so much for that, that solved everything. This was a particularly annyoing bug since you couldn't even exit the puzzle and go do other things (and had to force quit the program :/)

Having the same problem on my Mac, the symbols won't move left or right, just spin and zoom.
