Arkham * Save Patcher (Use your GFWL Savegame again)

Hey everyone, welcome to my thread.

What is this and how do I use it?

Arkham City received an update that took out Game for Windows Live, this program will take your save file and convert it to work with the new patch so you don't lose all your wonderful progress. Its just a few easy steps. Threw this together for your salvation.

Note this doesn't edit your save, so backing up doesn't really matter.

How do I use it?

You select your save file, usually found under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<userid>\200260\remote

(200260 is the GOTY edition, if you only have standard Arkham City standard is 57400)
Your save should look like <XboxUsername>-save#.sgd

Name your save, by default it will set to save0.sgd (the first slot), same your save to whatever slot you want it.

Select an output folder, this can be anywhere on your computer. But I recommened the same folder that the original save is it

Click patch.

Your save will be patched and ready to play.

Got this to work absolutely FLAWLESSLY for Arkham City, hooray.

However, it seems to have ruined my Arkham Asylum, which now crashes at the main menu every time I "click here to start." First of all, I noticed I had two different folders in my My Documents: One named "Eidos," with BMAA save data, and one named "Square Enix," with BMAA save data (I had this game NOT on Steam before, I'm assuming that's the cause of this).

The most recently used stuff, though, was from the Square Enix folder, which meant those should have been the saves associated with my Steam game. So those are the saves I used. But now AA crashes at startup every time, giving me this error: http://i4.dealtwith.it/i/n/308c8449272e2867ff9683c0fa124055/arkham%20error.png

I've tried verifying the integrity of local files and the cache, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried uninstalling, manually deleting all of the leftover content and then reinstalling, and none of it seems to work - I can no longer get past the opening menu of the game.

FINAL NOTE: I don't know if this is related or not, but I could have sworn at startup it used to say "BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM - GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION," in-game (with the image of Batman standing on the gargoyle), but it only says "BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM" now. I don't know if I'm misremembering, or if that was just something unrelated, or what, but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case it's relevant.

Please help! Or else it seems I'll never get to play Arkham Asylum again... thanks.

Try this for AA:

And if this does not work either for AA, try manually (link). But look only at offset 0x184. Some AA saves are a little bit different.

Pallando: Using that patcher and doing these steps:
You can try this:

Start the game.
Use alt-tab.
Move all your SGD files away from the "steam\userdata\<userid>\35140\remote" folder.
Go back in the game.
Delete any "corrupted save" in the game.
Create 4 new saves in the game.
Use alt-tab again.
Put your patched SGD files in the "steam\userdata\<userid>\35140\remote" folder once more.
Go back in the game.
Exit.
Wait for it to sync with the cloud.
Re-start the game.
Check if it worked.
