How do I defeat the Penguin while jamming the freeze cannon, on a PC?

I have found several hints how to approach the Penguin in the Iceberg Lounge. That was not the most tricky part. I got the jammer chip from the freeze suit, selected the jammer with "9", walked on the bridge, and when getting close enough, I was told to hold the LMB to jam the freeze gun.

So I kept pressing the left mouse button while approaching the Penguin on the table. I stood in front of him, and while jamming the freeze gun, he kept getting nervous; I would just have to grab the gun, or punch him, standing right at the table. And now? Which actions are available while holding the LMB?

Whatever I tried so far, if it was possible to do, it made Batman release the jammer, so he got shot.

All the other hint sites were not helpful because they only mentioned Xbox360 or PS3 controller buttons. But I play with PC keyboard and mouse.

use the jammer, walk up to him and punch him.

But punching means, pressing the left mouse button I'm already holding?

Maybe I should try to release it as briefly as possible, and click it immediately again.

You can go along side (behind) him through the passage and then use the jammer. Thats how I did it I believe. Personally I wish there was just a skip button for all the bosses, it's just an annoying blockade to continue with the game and the actual gameplay. Deus EX HR also had the bosses pooh.

Well, it worked. Hold the mouse when the jammer is locked, approach him, quickly release and click the mouse button.

I also have this problem. I've uninstalled and even started a new game but it wont get past this glitch.

To be fair, beating pengiun almost feels like a glitch. I hated that part in the game too.

Never had any problem with it. From that I remember RMB just locks on the target and LBM does the jamming. So when I was near enough I just pressed LMB, one of the green dots turned black (meaning it worked) and then I released both buttons. Then I walked to him and punched him. Easy.
