Mods not working AKA Texmod
I tried everything, I don't own it on steam. And no it's not torrented. I got it on disc with windows live games. Anyways, I put the skin in the win32 folder, I changed some settings in the BMengine, I opened texmod and used the correct launcher and tried using the dark knight skin I wanted. Still doesn't work. Yes, it is the game of the year edition too.

It's a skin from the dark knight rises for batman. I've tried some other skins I didn't want and it still didn't work.

did you make sure DirectX11 wasn't set in the settings? That's been known to disableTexmod from working....

Actually, I found the solution. My graphics were set on medium. I had it on high before so I thought the game stopped supporting texmod or something. I just set it back to high graphics. It's not laggy or anything.

I'm realy new at this whole mod thing and it's been a very frustrating experience so far. None of my gamer friends know what to do so i'm really stuck.
I've looked online to try and figure out how to mod my batman skins so that I can play as Daredevil but to no avail, As soon as I got texmod to work and I select the TPF files that I wanted, I click on RUN but the computer opens a small window that says "♥♥♥♥ happened: D'oh"

and I'm really really confused

Try turning off any anti virus software you have (McAfee, Norton, AVG)

You need to run the game in DX9, Texmod wont work on anything unless its dx 9.. I just fixed Batman AC with it

Use Texmod to start the game takes a bit to load.

Either open your Launcher > Settings and disable both DirectX Features and Tessallation, or disable it from inside the DefaultEngine.ini file:
1. Locate DefaultEngine.ini: Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Batman Arkham City GOTY \ BmGame \ Config \ DefaultEngine.ini
2. Open DefaultEngine.ini with NotePad
3. Locate "AllowD3D10=True" and change True to False
4. Save file and restart computer

I went to go do that and it was already disabled, some mods work for the though does anyone know if there is a reason for that?

just wanted to note that mods pretty much never work if "level of detail" isn't on "very high" but you can turn everything else off

For those still having problems, make certain TexMod was installed properly:
1. Locate BatmanAC.exe in Win32 folder: Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Batman Arkham City GOTY \ Binaries \ Win32 \ BatmanAC.exe
2. Rename BatmanAC.exe to BatmanACOriginal.exe (or BatmanACOld.exe)
3. Rename TexMod to BatmanAC.exe, place with BatmanACOriginal.exe in Win32 folder.
4. Start the game via the Steam client. When the TexMod window loads, click the folder icon in Target Application, select BatmanACOriginal.exe and click "Open." BatmanACOriginal.exe now displays as your Target Application.
5. Click Package Mode, then the small center folder icon to Browse your computer's folders for your .tpf files. Selected files will display in the Package Name text field. Click "Run."
6. When the game's splash screen displays just before launching, close the TexMod window.
