ffs, search before posting will you? We really don't need another thread about this ridiculous topic. The DC optimizer is there to support specific older models of AMD CPU's under WinXP. It doesn't do anything on any other CPU or OS. You can safely ignore it, or just uninstal it if it bothers you that much.

Why dont you provide links mr ffs. I did a search but none of the posts directly answered if removing it would harm the game or not. And everytime I launch the game it tries to reinstall it ffs

Just uninstall it and see what happens. Worst case scenario Steam just makes you reinstall it.

Yeah Steam is reinstalling it everytime I play the game, so I uninstalled the game. Not gonna play a game that forces AMD software on a pc that isnt using amd hardware. They need to make it an option

You know it's not going to affect anything, right? I don't understand why people think this is such a big deal. So you have to install a program that does nothing and is literally only like 200 kilobytes, why does that make you not want to play the game?

I have an Intel CPU and an Nvidia graphics card. if it does nothing at all, why does it keep installing itself?

I7 6700k
GTX 980
16GB ddr4 Ram
GTX H100i Water Cooled
Z170X-UD5
When I left it on and checked my processes, it actually had a process running when I ran the game.

I dont care if the file is 1kb in size. It has no purpose on this system and if it keeps installing itself, then it and the game goes. No harm off my back, I got other batman games that dont include bloatware.

Because according to Steam the game requires you to have it. Why that's the case is beyond me, but it has no absolutely negative effect on you and I don't understand why it bothers you so much to the point that you felt the need to uninstall the game.

The game probably tells it to run. It's running, but it's not actually doing anything.

Do you realize how much "bloatware" you probably have from installing games on Steam? Do you really think this is the only game you have that installs an irrelevant piece of software? You're essentially complaining about a tiny speck of dust compared to the amount of "bloatware" you probably have lying around that you don't even know about.
Actually I do know exactly how much bloatware I have, since I built my pc, and then repacked my own OS, removing all the bloatware from the OS, reducing its overall file size, rebuilding the ISO imagine and doing a clean install. So yes, yes I do know exactly how much garbage is on my computer. I am a bit of a need freak when it comes to my pc and software installed.

If you have any Steam game installed then I highly doubt you've removed all of it, but whatever, if it really bothers you that much then go ahead, but just know that you're missing out on a lot of great games if your criteria for keeping them installed is based on whether or not they need you to install an otherwise useless piece of software.

What games am I missing out on? This is the only one I have that has tried installing outdated software. Other games give an option atleast.

And just so you are aware, I know how to manually delete left over files located in this drive

F:\STEAM\steamapps\common

As well as here

C:\Users\Game Over Man\AppData\Local

and

C:\Users\Game Over Man\AppData\Roaming

Also noting some files are here

C:\Users\Game Over Man\Documents

I have 2 2TB drives for my games and a SSD for my OS. I still like to keep my pc clean and clutter free.

Of my 200 or so games between steam, Orgin, Uplay Rocksstar & other, this game is the ONLY game I have encountered in a decade of gaming that forces software that has no purpose. Seems like the devs stopped supporting the game and cant be bothered with it.

The game itself runs fine. I just dont like the fact that it keeps installing the amd crap everytime I launch the game.
